5 out of 5 stars Brill straight out of the box. Recomended   September 2, 2010
MR T (Staffs UK)
Ordered the Panasonic TX-P42G10B after my 2 month old TX-P42U20B went pop and got a refund from a different supplier. Having had a Panasonic 37" Plasma before i did not look at any other brand. This model as the Neo PDP and freesat and 1080p for a little more money than the U20B. The set arrived the day after ordering (123electricals4Me) and was very easy to set up. The picture is almost perfect without much adjustment. I have sky HD but wired another cable from my Quad LNB and freesat HD was working within 1 hour. This model as an anti glare screen the U20B doesn't and 3 HDMI connections and Dolby digital. I know it is last years model but not much different to the G20B released this year. If you are after and good priced 42" TV get one while they are available. Hoping for more luck with this one as it is a great tele.

5 out of 5 stars Short review   August 29, 2010
Vic
Anyone who has done any research into purchasing a TV should know this product by now as its set the standard after Kuro's in terms of black levels. If you can still find it at this silly price I would purchase it asap.

5 out of 5 stars Great t.v.   August 22, 2010

I am delighted with this television. Great picture and sound and very easy to set up by following the instructions on screen. Great value for money

5 out of 5 stars The best TV I've ever had! Always bought Sony in the past.   August 17, 2010
Stazi
This TV is superb, I am chuffed to bits with it. I was very happily surprised to discover the fact that it has freesat and freeview built in, as when I bought it I thought it only had freesat - either I had a 'moment' and missed it in the literature, or it is only publicized as having freesat. It is super easy to set up. This TV feels good quality, looks good quality and generally is great value for money. I cannot see why, with all the features it has (600hz, contrast ratio of over 2,000,000, full 1080p, neo PDP, fast response 0.001 millisecond) anyone would realistically want to spend more than £1000 more to get a TV that is considerably better than this, which is what you would have to spend in my opinion. Don't think - buy!

5 out of 5 stars I love this screen   August 16, 2010
Mr. Lee James Butterwick (uk)
I have been watching the price of these screens fluctuate since they came out in 2009. I had read all the brilliant reviews from many audiovisual magazines and all couldn't praise these screens enough at the £1200 price tag that they had. A month ago I found that the price had dropped to £574 with a special offer that Amazon was running and at that price it was too good to be true so I ordered one straight away. That evening I noticed many people commenting on this excellent price on a few audiovisual forums on the web, all comments ended BUY THIS! My screen arrived and was very easy to set up, it has lots of connections for DVD, ps3 etc. The tv had tuned itself automatically and as my surround and DVD sytems are all Panasonic had also automatically tuned to these devices, brilliant. The built-in freeview blew me away, blacks were deep, colours were natural with no plastic looking oversaturated skintones that you often see and pictures were sharp. Even text was better than I'd seen on alot of plasma's and LCD screens. I then checked out the built-in freesat and the HD channels. The HD channels did look slightly sharper than the SD ones BUT the tv does such a good job with the standard def pics that you are pushed to notice the difference during general viewing and only when flicking from freeview SD to freesat HD quickly did you notice the HD pics to be sharper. All pictures look great and I am also very happy with the tv sound. After having this tv a month now I love it even more, a brilliant buy.
